Infinity Technologies provides comprehensive municipal IT services and tech solutions designed around the unique needs of local governments and community organizations. We help municipalities strengthen cybersecurity, modernize technology infrastructure, improve communications, and protect sensitive information. For 30 years municipalities across Chicago and Northwest Indiana trust Infinity Technologies to secure public facilities and maintain dependable technology ecosystem across multiple locations.
Municipal IT Services for the Organizations That Serve Your Community
Government technology environments are often spread across multiple buildings, departments, facilities, and public-facing locations. At the same time, employees may need secure access to shared systems and information while residents expect reliable services and communication.
For that reason, municipal IT requires more than basic computer support. Technology must be secure, dependable, scalable, and accessible to the people who rely on it every day.
Infinity Technologies takes a comprehensive approach to municipal technology by bringing together managed IT services, cybersecurity, network infrastructure, communications, physical security, access control, video surveillance, structured cabling, wireless connectivity, and technology consulting.
Our municipal and government technology solutions can support:
- City Halls and Municipal Offices
- Infinity Technologies enforces strict confidentiality protocols through customized identity management and access management. Our clients determine the necessary employee roles and privileges that correspond to digital file and physical locations. Every file maintains a detailed log of every employee that accessed the file and when.
- Police Departments and Police Stations
- Law enforcement often takes advantage of our CCTV and mobile security trailers to protect police property or augment special event support.
- Fire Departments and Fire Houses
- Fire Houses need a strong network design to ensure they are always ready for an emergency to arise. Infinity Technologies takes the charge with 24/7 monitoring of network health and investigating any cybersecurity red flags.
- Park Districts
- Infinity Technologies has a long history of supporting recreation centers throughout Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana with a plethora of services. Park Districts rely on our network design across multiple facilities and parks, access control solutions, and CCTV installations.
- Public Works Departments
- Public Work Departments sit at the intersection of a municipal facility and a warehouse. Infinity Technologies often supplies mobile security trailers to provide coverage in low visibility areas around the facility. Camera integration with access control offers remote monitoring of all foot traffic in and out of the building throughout the workday.
- Libraries
- Our audio-visual installations foster vibrant library communities for our clients. Infinity Technologies takes a consultative approach to design unique audio-visual solutions with high-quality displays. Libraries use our services to create educational exhibits, publicize upcoming events, and celebrate members of their community.
- Municipal Courts & Administrative Buildings
- Infinity Technologies understands that network design can serve multiple audiences. A reliable network is paramount for employees and daily operations. However, technology infrastructure should also consider patrons, Infinity Technologies helps municipalities leverage technology to control the flow of traffic and support their needs. Often, municipal courts use our services to support their security staff.
Municipal organizations have a lot of moving parts essential to their technology ecosystem. Infinity Technologies provides a broad range of IT and technology services that can support the complete municipal environment.
Municipal Cybersecurity & Data Protection
Government organizations manage sensitive information every day, therefore cybersecurity is a critical part of modern operations. Public records and financial data require appropriate protection from bad actors. Infinity Technologies helps municipalities strengthen their cybersecurity through firewall management, endpoint protection, network security, vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, secure access controls, security monitoring, data backup, and disaster recovery solutions.
In addition, we can help organizations identify weaknesses in their technology environment and develop strategies to reduce unnecessary security risks.
Municipal Communications & Collaboration
Effective communication is essential across government departments. Municipal employees may need to communicate with other departments, public officials, emergency personnel, contractors, residents, and other organizations. Infinity Technologies provides business phone systems, VoIP, unified communications, that empower professional communication. Municipalities also depend on our audio-visual technology for reliable video conferencing and conference room equipment.
For municipalities with multiple buildings, centralized communications technology can also help create a more consistent experience across facilities.
Structured Cabling & Fiber Infrastructure
Reliable municipal technology begins with reliable physical infrastructure. Networks, wireless access points, security cameras, access control systems, and phones are important individually but are interconnected through structured cabling. Infinity Technologies provides copper structured cabling and fiber optic infrastructure for municipal buildings and facilities that not only support current technology but also makes future expansion and modernization easier. Uniquely, Infinity Technologies handles installation from start to finish including network cabling, fiber connectivity, server room cabling, network closet infrastructure, wireless access point cabling, and technology upgrades.
Data Backup & Disaster Recovery for Municipalities
Government organizations need to be prepared for unexpected technology disruptions. Hardware failures, cybersecurity incidents, system failures, natural disasters, and other events can affect access to important information and applications. Infinity Technologies provides data backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions designed to help municipalities protect important information and recover more effectively when technology disruptions occur. Rather than treating backup as a simple IT task, we help organizations incorporate data protection and recovery into their broader technology strategy.
Cloud & Microsoft 365 for Government Organizations
Cloud applications have become increasingly important for municipal organizations. Infinity Technologies provides cloud and Microsoft 365 management, user administration, security configuration, support, and ongoing technology management to help municipal organizations use cloud services effectively.
Technology Designed Around Your Community
Every municipality has different facilities, budgets, departments, infrastructure, technology requirements, and operational priorities. For that reason, Infinity Technologies does not believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to municipal IT.
Instead, we take the time to understand your organization, evaluate your existing technology environment, identify opportunities for improvement, and develop solutions around your specific goals. Our clients enjoy our “state of the union” meetings that share progress reports on current projects, cybersecurity red flags, and ideas for future expansions. Based locally in Mokena, Illinois, Infinity Technology understands the culture and needs of Chicagoland. We are always readily available to support organizations onsite or remotely to ensure downtime is minimized.
A Complete Technology Partner for Municipal Organizations
Municipalities should not have to coordinate multiple technology companies for every part of their infrastructure. Infinity Technologies brings together IT management, structured cabling, physical security, access control, and video surveillance under one technology partner. As a result, organizations can take a more unified approach to technology while reducing the complexity of managing multiple systems and vendors.
